Rondale Moore pimped the system before it pimped him! Jay-Z famously said, “I’m not a businessman, I’m a business man.”

When college football became big business years ago everybody got paid but the players doing all of the work. It’s a billion dollar enterprise and all the powers that be would always say, “well…they’re getting a free education” which we all know isn’t free at all.

The old heads when I was coming up would always say, “Pimp them before they pimp you playas.” In other words, don’t go to school and let the school make a fortune off of you or your likeness and walk out of there without a degree or an NFL contract.

Well playas…Purdue’s All-American wide receiver, Rondale Moore, must have been listening to the old heads spittin’ game because not only did he pimp the system but he’s about to graduate in 2.5 years!!! So he’ll not only walk out with an opportunity to be draft high but he’ll have his degree too.

Ole boy tweeted on Thursday that he’s forgoing his junior season with the Boilermakers because of the obvious situation with the pandemic and that he’s on track to graduate in December. BOOM!!!

Talk about understanding the game and playing it well. There were a ton of folks congratulating this kid but there were the obvious haters too. He’s done everything he was supposed to do while at Purdue and now it’s time to bounce on his terms.

He showed out, like my momma used to say, not only on the field but in the classroom too. A player isn’t eligible to go to the league until his high school class has been out of school for three years. Rondale would be entering his junior season with the Boilermakers.

However, because of the uncertainty in the world of college football this year with the pandemic. It doesn’t make sense to fool with it especially since he’s graduating in December. Major play my brother. Major play!!

He doesn’t owe Purdue a darn thing and since it’s all business anyway, he may as well be thinking like a business man. In the famous words of Jay-Z, “I’m not a businessman, I’m a business man!” Stop me when I start lyin’!
