INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana loss their third consecutive game on Saturday night. The Orlando Magic were in town trying to stay in the playoff hunt and literally knocked off the Pacers 121-116 to move one step closer to potentially getting into the postseason for the first time since 2012. They are now sitting a half game behind Miami for the coveted number eight spot.

Aaron Gordon came into Bankers Life Fieldhouse and bust their butts putting up 23 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. The Magic dropped off a season high 37-assists. They were coming off of a blowout loss to the Pistons after being on s six game win streak. Somehow they found the confidence to come into Indiana and steal one from a Pacers team that sometimes seems to forget what’s on the line here.

Darren Collison, who led the Blue and Gold with 24 points and 9 assists had this to say afterwards. “Unacceptable. It’s a tough loss, but it was inexcusable. We have to really understand what we’re trying to accomplish. At times, we show we’re this gritty team and covering for each other, and sometimes it seems we have miscues and breakdowns.”

The Pacers have fallen down to the fifth spot in the East with the same record as the fourth place Celtics but Boston has a 2-1 edge over them this season in head to head match ups. They get to settle the score on next Friday in Indiana. In my ole school Puff Daddy voice, “It’s real in the field.” Boyz better wake up and smell the toe jam out here.

The playoffs will be knocking on their door in a matter of two weeks and it’s either you’re ready or you’re not. You can’t be losing to the darn Magic this time of year bruh! Stop me when I start lyin’!
