Oklahoma wets the bed at Kansas State to almost certainly kill their chances of making the Playoff! “Bad Loss”

MANHATTAN, KS. — It never fails! The Oklahoma Sooners looked like they’re ready to compete for a national title and somehow found a way to wet the bed so bad that Big Momma can’t even turn the mattress over. They rolled into Manhattan, Kansas on Saturday as the No.5 team in America favored to win it by 29 points and got the breaks beaten off of them 48-41.

Don’t let the 7 point loss fool you. Kansas drug the Sooners up and down the field all day until OU trying to make a push in the last 8 minutes or so. They were down 48-30 with a little over 6 minutes left to pay.

Well playas…the Wildcats lined up running the option with quarterback Skyler Thompson and the Sooners had absolutely no answer for it. Not only did Thompson run wild but the entire student body was running all over the Oklahoma.

They put up 215 yards rushing on a defense that seemed to have turned the corner against Texas. In the little Apple  they pulled a Benjamin Buttons on a boy and went backwards.  K-State completely dominated the time of possession holding on to the rock for 38:08 minutes vs 20:07 minutes.

Jalen Hurts and CeeDee Lamb and Co. can’t hurt you if they’re standing on the sideline watching the game. The Wildcats executed an excellent game plan to beat the then No.5 Sooners to knock them out of the College Football Playoff conversation…at least for now. We have no idea who else is going to lose in the next few weeks. But I can almost bet my bottom dollar that the Sooners have cut their pinky toes off with this loss.

The SEC champ (Alabama or LSU however Georgia could show up and beat one of them and the winner and loser gets in with one loss), Big Ten champ (if it’s an undefeated Ohio State) and ACC champ (Clemson) are darn sure getting in. A one loss Oklahoma has to hope the bottom falls out for everybody to even have a shot at getting a sniff now.

Kansas State was not playing with these boyz. It was homecoming and they balled out. They showed no signs of intimidation from the word go.

Skyler Thompson simply managed the game by going 18/28 for 213 yards in the air and rushing for 4 touchdowns. They put up another 213 yards on the ground led by James Gilbert’s 105 yards.

OU’s Jalen Hurts went crazy going 19/26 for 395 yards in the air and another 96 yards on the ground for a total of 4 touchdowns. All of that wasn’t enough because the Sooner defense looked a hot mess. Stop me when I start lyin’!
