LeBron continues to do great work in black community and boyz are still hatin’! “Darn Shame”

Ever since LeBron decided to take his talents to South Beach in the summer of 2010 boyz have come out of the woodwork to hate him. He’s arguably one of the best, if not THEE best all-around basketball player we’ve ever seen and he’s been able to use his platform to reach back into the black community to do MAJOR work.

With that being said, ole boy used his platform and his HBO show “The Shop” to have the governor of California sign into law the “Fair Pay to Play Act” on Monday. Not only was the governor on the show but LeBron continued to explain to folks why the law was so important to him even though he didn’t go to college.

He understands that had he’d gone to school for one or two years the school would have been selling his jersey and likeness all over the country and his mother, who was poor at the time, wouldn’t have been able to benefit from his college fame.

Here’s what he had to say, “For sure I would have been one of those kids if I would have went off to Ohio State or if I went off to any one of these big-time colleges where pretty much that 23 jersey would have got sold all over the place without my name on the back. But everybody would’ve known the likeness. My body would have been on the NCAA basketball game, 2004. The Schottenstein Center would have been sold out every single night if I was there. Coming from just me and my mom, we didn’t have anything. We wouldn’t have been able to benefit at all from it. And the university would’ve been able to capitalize on everything that I would’ve been there for that year or two or whatever. I understand what those kids are going through. I feel for those kids who’ve been going through it for so long. So, that’s why it was personal to me.”

You got to give him props for standing up for these athletes when he didn’t have to. However, cats in the very hoods that LeBron is standing up for continue to hate the guy. It’s incredible to me. He’s building schools and educational opportunities for our children and cats are hatin’. He’s sending kids to college and they’re hatin’. He’s speaking up for the voiceless and they’re hatin’. He’s looking out for student-athletes and they’re hatin’.

However, they love Michael Jordan’s dirty Hanes underwear and Mike wouldn’t spit on them if they were on fire. That’s a darn shame. Keep doin’ your thing LeBron. Those of us that are conscious see the work that you’re doing for our community and we say thank you for being woke enough to give back. Stop me when I start lyin’!
