Lakers take advantage of Rockets lack of size to go up 3-1! “Easy Work”

THE BUBBLE — In the famous words of Dennis Green, “They were who we thought they were!” The Houston Rockets pulled up to the Western Conference Semifinals playing the small ball lineup that worked all season. So in their minds “Why not” use this foolishness in the playoffs.

Well playas…the Lakers are showing them “why not” as they are literally pounding them on the glass and leaning on boyz. They’ve got them down 3-1 ready to send them back to the crib to re-evaluate who they really want to be.

On Thursday night LA beat them 110-100 but the score was not indicative of the beat down they suffered trying to keep up with these cats. The Lakers blew a 20 plus point lead in the final period being sloppy with the ball as they continuously turned it over.

However, Houston had no chance all night of playing with these boyz because they literally destroyed them on the glass 52-29 with Anthony Davis having his way. AD finished with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists while LeBron finished one assist shy of yet another triple double.

When the smoke cleared the Philistine walked out of the joint with 16 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists. Alex Caruso dropped off 16 points while Rajon Rondo hit them up for 11 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Both Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Danny Green finished with 10 points apiece. When everybody’s in the groove it’s hard to stop the Lakers especially when you’re getting killed on the glass.

LA had 40 defensive rebounds out of the total 52 they came down with. That means that the Rockets got very few second chance shots. In other words, in order to even compete in this foolishness they would have had to shoot darn near 90 percent just to stay alive.

They held James Harden to 21 points on 2-11 shooting from the field and 1-6 from downtown. Young Russ led the Rockets with 25 points but the Lakers can live with Russ leading the way. As a matter of fact, they were letting that dun shoot all night. Up next the bag packer for the Rockets on Saturday, Game 5.
