Fans still show how ignorant they really are by booing Chiefs and Texans for locking arms in Unity! “Footballs, Hats and Selfies”

Fans literally boo the Chiefs and Texans during the national anthem on Thursday night.

Since the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police back in May we’ve seen an outpouring of support for social justice in this country. There have been ongoing protests and conversations about working towards ending racism. More and more people are starting to understand the plight of the black community as it relates to having to deal with racism on a daily basis. Well…they are at least open to listening to it anyway.

When Colin Kaepernick first kneeled during the national anthem in 2016 in protest of police brutality, racial and social injustice the majority of the country wouldn’t listen to him and they even tried to change the narrative. They made it about the flag instead of about what the man said out of his own mouth. Why? Because racism wouldn’t allow him to be heard.

Racism is stuck in the mud on purpose. You would think with all of the conversations and enlightenment surrounding this subject that people wouldn’t be so closed minded today.

Well playas…we learned on Thursday night as the NFL kicked off it’s 2020 season the ignorance is still running rampant in America. As the players locked arms in unity before the game with the end zones reading “End Racism” and “It Takes All of Us” the 16,000 fans that were allowed to attention still booed them. They couldn’t even use the Anthem as their scapegoat this time. The players simply locked arms to show unity and people booed. Ridiculous.

With all of the information explaining to folks why black folks don’t experience the same America that their white counterparts experience, folks still don’t care. Why come to the games if you don’t like black people or the fact that they don’t love the same experience in America that you are blessed to have?

By booing these young men you’re telling them that you care nothing about the human beings on the field. You just want to be entertained. You care nothing about their families or their well-being. It’s a darn shame.

If I were one of the players I wouldn’t stop to sign their kid’s footballs, hats or t-shirts. I wouldn’t stop to take a picture or say high. If you care nothing about them then don’t watch the games and darn sure don’t show up to tell people how ignorant you really are. Stop me when I start lyin’!
