Kaepernick’s name censored from Madden NFL 19 song? Don’t get mad! Don’t buy it!

Everybody and their baby’s momma is fightin’ mad about Madden NFL 19 censoring one of the songs on the soundtrack entitled “Big Bank” performed by YG and Big Sean. They literally omitted Colin Kaepernick’s name from the song bruh.

The omission was caught by a Twitter user that put Electronic Art (EA) on blast. Then social media went NUTS!! EA tried to calm the flames by putting out a statement. It read as follows, “We made an unfortunate mistake with our Madden NFL soundtrack. Members of our team misunderstood the fact that while we don’t have rights to include Colin Kaepernick in the game, this doesn’t affect soundtracks. We messed up, and the edit should never have happened. We will make it right, with an update to Madden NFL 19 on August 6 that will include the reference again. We meant no disrespect, and we apologize to Colin, to YG and Big Sean, to the NFL, to all of their fans and our players for this mistake.”

To late playa!!! EA was goin’ to ride it out if no one realized the purposeful omission of the big homie’s name. They were goin’ to at least try to sell as many copies as possible to get the diss out into the market.

A billion dollar company doesn’t make mistakes like that bruh. They knew what they were doing. Stop it!!

This is just another attempt to undermine the importance of Colin Kaepernick to the struggle for justice and equality for all in this country.

They just got caught tryin’ to hustle our young people who, for the most part, are beyond discriminating against each other on the basis of race. These kids now are growing up today with friends from all cultures, ethnicities and races.

So when a friend of their’s is offended or discriminated against they’re fired up too. Some old heads got involved in the decision to omit Kaepernick’s name from the song and it burned them.

So…to all of my young people that really want to make an impact today and show the power of protest. Don’t run out and buy Madden NFL 19 even after they’ve made the correction. Show them that this is America and that all people have the First Amendment right to peaceably protest including as many of you all that will collectively not buy this game. That also includes Colin Kaepernick’s right to kneel during the national anthem to draw attention to police brutally, racial and social injustice. Stop me when I start lyin’!
