Jay-Z doesn’t need to talk to Kaepernick to partner with the NFL. Kaep took the bread! “More Thinking Less Emotions”

I’m trippin’ over the amount of people that are upset that Jay-Z is now partnering with the NFL to enhance the NFL’s live game experiences and to give voice to the league’s social justice efforts. Everybody and their Uncle LeRoy is upset that the music mogul is now working with the league that essentially blackballed Colin Kaepernick.

Boyz are literally hollering and screaming mad that Jay didn’t talk to Kaepernick before he inked the deal with the NFL. Well hold on a second playa! Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Why does Jay-Z need to talk to Kaepernick to partner with the NFL? He’s a grown man taking the baton and moving this thing forward.

Duns are upset because Kaepernick isn’t in the league and they rightfully should be. However, what boyz ultimately forget while they’re screaming to the tops of their lungs is that Kaepernick sued the league and then took the settlement. Therefore, he’s a mute issue at this point when it comes to him ever playing again. He took the bread bruh!!!

Once you take the settlement there is no chance of you working for that company again. Stop with this  foolishness!!! If you sued your current employer and they settled out of court with you. They aren’t going to hire you back!! Stop it.

As a matter of fact, there is typically a gag order put in place so that you can’t bad mouth the company etc. So if a woman filed a sexual harassment law suit against her employer and she decides to settle out of court. You’re telling me that no other woman should work for that company ever again? You sound crazy!! If a black person filed a racial discrimination suit against their employer and settled out of court. You’re telling me that no other black person should try to interview with that company ever again? You sound crazy.

The law suits and settlements set precedence to hopefully avoid future similar incidents. We would hope that once the company settles a law suit of that nature that they would put policies in place to help them stay above that type of foolishness. Everyone wins going forward you would hope.

So the fact that Colin filed the suit and took the settlement the NFL is trying to do some things to avoid the same mistake. Hiring someone that will have a seat at the table to make the NFL aware of it’s lack of cultural competence in certain areas is a good thing.

During situations of protest and civil rights in the history of this country there has always been casualties. Colin just happens to be one in this situation but he got paid to walk away. That was on him not Jay-Z.  However, as a result of the fight for equality and social justice there has to be movement forward to erect change. Having Jay-Z at the table is a step forward. We can’t get the change we want without having a seat at the table. Give Jay a chance to either sink or swim before you blast him. Stop being overly emotional and think before you start hollering for no reason. Stop me when I start lyin’!

“We forget that Colin’s whole thing was to bring attention to social injustice. In that case, this is a success. This is the next phase. There are two parts of protesting. You go outside and you protest, and then the company or the individual says, ‘I hear you. What do we do next?'”

He goes on to say, “For me it’s like action, an actionable item, what are we gonna do with it? Everyone heard, we hear what you’re saying, and everybody knows I agree with what you’re saying [in Kaepernick’s underlying message]. So what are we gonna do? You know what I’m saying? [Help] millions and millions of people, or we get stuck on Colin not having a job.”
