The 76ers shook the bee hive when they dissed Sevyn Streeter! “It’s On Now”

Cuba Gooding Jr. once said, “Don’t let people disrespect you. My mom says don’t open the door to the devil. Surround yourself with positive people.” Cesar Chavez, the civil rights activist, gave it to us like this, “Preservation of one’s own culture does not require contempt or disrespect for other cultures.” Then Angie Stone broke it down like a playa at a pimp convention when she spit, “I would never disrespect any man, woman, chick or child out there. We’re all the same. What goes around comes around, and karma kicks us all in the butt in the end of the day.”

Well playas…the Philadelphia 76ers just got in line to get kicked in the butt because of their disrespect of the black community’s quest to be respected and treated fairly. The organization is already a hot mess with annually losin’ and now they’ve reaped more coals of fire on their heads. On Wednesday just minutes before R&B singer Sevyn Streeter took the floor to sing the national anthem she was pulled because she was rockin’ a “We Matter” T-shirt. Here’s what she had to say about it bruh, “I’d say two minutes before we were about to walk out … the organization told me that I could not wear my shirt while singing the national anthem at their game. I was never given any kind of dress code. I was never asked beforehand to show my wardrobe.”

Now they tried to tell a boy in a foul statement, “The Philadelphia 76ers organization encourages meaningful actions to drive social change. We use our games to bring people together, to build trust and to strengthen our communities. As we move from symbolic gestures to action, we will continue to leverage our platform to positively impact our community,”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! They weren’t encouragin’ meaningful actions to drive social change by tellin’ her that she couldn’t wear a T-shirt that told the world that people that look like her ACTUALLY matter. Especially when 80 percent of their darn roster is black. So if she can’t wear a shirt that says “We Matter” what are they tellin’ the duns that are actually playin’ on the team?

By pullin’ that stunt they told them that they are to be seen and not heard. That all you really mean to us is ticket sales and entertainment value. Sound familiar? Nothin’ more! Nothin’ less!

Let me put it where the goats can get it. Now don’t think for one minute that all of those brothers on that team are goin’ to sit in the cut and allow the organization to disrespect them like that when they all have GUARANTEED contracts!! Sit in the cut and wait for it playa because they play again on Saturday against Atlanta and no way are boyz goin’ to let that foolishness slide. Especially, when their money is GUARANTEED!!! It’s on now bruh! Stop me when I start lyin’!
