IU’s making it way too easy to recruit against them playing in the NIT. At least Romeo sat down. “Babies and Candy”

BLOOMINGTON — On Tuesday morning I wrote a crazy Hot Joint entitled “No Win Situation” about how Romeo Langford and Indiana were making a HUGE mistake by even playing in the NIT. Neither of the two had anything to gain by playing in the stupid tournament that NOBODY cares about. All they can do by playing in it is hurt themselves publicly.

Romeo can’t possibly improve his draft status playing against cats that didn’t make the NCAA Tournament. He could only fall in the draft with this foolishness. On the other hand, if IU doesn’t completely sprint through the NIT and win it all they look like some suckas losing to anyone in the field from a recruiting standpoint. Why would a 4 or 5 star recruit want to land in Bloomington to play and lose in the darn NIT? There’s absolutely nothing to gain here.

Well playas…at least Romeo Langford heard my voice or he at the very least listened to someone else with good sense. He decided not to play in Tuesday’s game for whatever reason he gave publicly. The fact of the matter is, he didn’t play and he’d be crazy to ever put on another Indiana Hoosiers uniform in his life. It’s money time now playa not Ra-Ra school spirit time.

In my DJ from Hustle and Flow voice, “Git Ya Money Mane,” especially because he’s being projected as a lottery pick right now. He’s on many draft boards as high as the No.5 pick or as low as the No.13 pick right now. Don’t mess that up fooling around with Archie Miller and Co. in the darn NIT.

The Hoosiers won the stupid game 89-72 over St. Francis (PA.) but they trailed 40-32 to some duns that shouldn’t have even been on the floor with them from jump. That’s a bad sign bruh. They’re going to lose in this stupid tournament and it’s going to kill whatever momentum Archie Miller has on the recruiting trail.

Do you know how easy it would be to recruit against IU after they’ve signed the most coveted prospect to come out of the state of Indiana in years and still not make the NCAA Tournament and then lose in the NIT? That’s like taking candy from a baby. If they couldn’t get to the darn Big Dance with Romeo Langford what’s the point in the next All-American or 5-star recruit showing up in Bloomington? They didn’t put in that type of work to become one of the best players in the country to end up losing in the freakin’ NIT.

Here’s why you don’t play in the NIT if you’re IU. Because you’re not good enough to win it. Take the “L” of not making it to the NCAA Tournament and keep it movin’! At some point y’all gone start listenin’ to me and stop me when I start lyin’!
