Why IU and Romeo Langford are making a HUGE mistake by playing in the NIT. “No Win Situation”

BLOOMINGTON: The Indiana Hoosiers missed the NCAA Tournament and will now play in the NIT as the No.1 overall seed. They’ll open on Tuesday night against a red hot St. Francis (PA.) squad at Assembly Hall. Ole Archie Miller is determined to make the most of the opportunity to play in the NIT.

However, let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! It makes absolutely no sense for Romeo Langford or the Hoosiers to take the floor in the NIT. First of all, Romeo is completely wasting his time by playing in a tournament that means absolutely nothing to anyone including to him. His draft status can’t do anything but fall fooling around in the NIT. If he plays like crap it falls for sure and if he balls out, he was supposed to ball out. Why take the chance of getting hurt playing against nothing competition?

I said as soon as they were eliminated from the Big Ten Tournament that he needed to pack up his things and dip to get ready for the NBA Draft. There’s nothing else to do at IU. That’s from Romeo’s perspective.

What does IU have to gain or to lose by playing in this foolishness? They gain absolutely nothing by playing and if they don’t win the whole thing they look like some suckas and it kills their recruiting effort towards any major talent. Who would want to go to IU that’s worth anything if they can’t win the NIT? NOBODY!!! So all the way around it’s a mistake for the Hoosiers to even take the floor in the NIT. By doing so they put everything in jeopardy. It’s already a terrible program trying to come out of the ashes and they’re playing with matches with gasoline drawers on by suiting up to play St. Francis (PA.) or anyone else in the NIT. Stop me when I start lyin’!
