It’s foul to put Jeff Brohm on blast when it could have waited until next week! “Cats and Bags”

Everybody and their baby’s momma knows that in college football the rich get richer. Schools that are willing to pay top dollar for head coaches always stay relevant. Those that won’t want to pony up don’t. It’s been that way since the beginning of time. So when Jeff Brohm took over at Purdue last season and guided them to a bowl game right out of the gate and then beat the brakes off of No.2 Ohio State this year the clock’s been ticking.

Everybody knew that it would be just a matter of time before someone came in and swooped him up. Purdue’s an engineering school not a football school. So they aren’t willing to pay the type of bread that it takes to keep a red hot head coach. If you didn’t know that then you’ve been sleeping under a rock for way too long. There is a reason why the same programs keep winning in college sports.

So on Thursday my man Dan Dakich jumps out of the birthday cake butt naked foamin’ at the mouth on Twitter and let’s the cat out of the bag with “Breaking News…Jeff Brohn will be announced as The University of Louisville Head Coach on Monday November 26th according to my sources…”

Now you’ve got to be crazy to think that what Dan tweeted wasn’t true because I’ve been telling folks all season that Brohm was going to get swooped. I just think that letting the cat out of the bag on November 15 puts he and his coaching staff on blast when they’ve still got more than a week to coach this current team.

C’mon bruh you know the drill. Now he’s got to stand up in front of the press and lie for a week. That’s foul. You put him in a no win situation because he can’t say “yes I’m taking the job” until he takes it officially and he’s on his way out of the door.

What blows my mind is that people act like he’s a bad guy for lying about not taking it when they do it everyday in the real world. If you’re interviewing for a new job and they offer it to you but it doesn’t start for a month and you have unfinished business to take care of. Then all of a sudden someone finds out that you’ve got another job you’re going to lie about even interviewing for it. Why? Because you’ve got an entire staff that’s depending upon you for direction.

But because he’s a football coach boyz want to treat him like he isn’t a human being. Like he doesn’t have a wife and kids. Why throw him under the bus when it’s going to come out anyway, if in fact, he’s going to take the job? I’m just sayin’!

What does it benefit anybody to put that on the street this week when it could have waited until next week. The season is over next Saturday. If nothing else, those players deserved to hear that from their current head coach and not from some cat on the street. Stop me when I start lyin’!
