Giants Fire Warnin’ Shots: OBJ agrees to show up to offseason workouts! “Ain’t Bluffin’!”

A couple of weeks ago the New York Giants let Odell Beckham Jr. know that they weren’t about to keep puttin’ up with his foolishness when their top brass told reporters at the NFL owners meetings that they were open to tradin’ him. Not only were they open to gettin’ rid of his butt they told boyz that they wanted two first round picks in return  for him.

Well playas…accordin’ to ESPN’s Josina Anderson ole boy was expected to fly to New Jersey from Los Angeles on Sunday to be ready for the Giants offseason workout program that starts on Monday. Now everybody and their baby’s momma knows that the offseason workout program’s are voluntary under the Collective Bargaining Agreement. OBJ didn’t attend last year’s program but there’s a new sheriff in town and his name is Pat Shurmur. He and general manager Dave Gettleman aren’t playin’ with the diva wide receiver and the warnin’ shot has been sent over the bow.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Beckham  doesn’t have to be there but it’s in his best interest to be there because he’s lookin’ for a new deal. They’ve already put the word out that they aren’t about to fool with any foolishness with him comin’ off of the shattered ankle that he injured in October.

They at least want to put an eye on him to see where his rehab is on it. Everybody knows that they need to get a new deal worked out but this is the NFL and the team always has all of the power because the contracts aren’t guaranteed. Only the signin’ bonuses are.

Odell was makin’ only $1.8 million last year when he broke the ankle and is scheduled to make $8.5 million this season on his fifth year of his rookie deal. There is talk that a new deal could pay Beckham up to $60 million in guarantees. But we’ll have to wait and see now won’t we?

So guess what playa…it makes sense to be in New Jersey for offseason workouts even when you don’t wanna be there. It’s called doin’ business and bein’ professional in the process. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
