It’s absolutely mind blowing to hear Stephen A. Smith get on First Take and say that he feels sorry for Kevin Durant because he’s got no help. The Brooklyn Nets have been getting embarrassed without the services of Kyrie Irving. However, James Hardin is still living and breathing and on the court averaging 19 points per game.
That being said, Stephen A. is making excuses for what many, including him, were calling the best player in the league for the longest. Sure, Kyrie betrayed KD and the rest of the Nets. However, if he’s as good as the media and especially Stephen A says he is, he should be winning games without Kyrie and Hardin dropping 19 a game. At the very least not getting blasted by double figures against the top teams. Stop it.
Y’all know where I’m going with this right? LeBron doesn’t get those types of passes. He’s got to win no matter who’s on the floor. He’s got to win with cats like Matthew Delevadova, Eric snow, Anderson Varejao, JR Smith, Iman Shumpert etc. He doesn’t get a pass even if he’s able to drag those guys to the Finals on his back.
Now Kevin Durant doesn’t have any help? Give me a break. He’s got one of the greatest shooters to ever play the game in the ride with him and he doesn’t have any help? You’ve got to be kidding me? Again, if he’s the KD you say he is the Nets should still be a title contender and at the very least he should be able to take them to the Finals. No question!!!
We don’t have time for excuses bruh! Either he’s what you claim he is or he isn’t? Even at 147 years old your expectation of LeBron is to carry the 206 year old Lakers to the Finals or at the very least to the Western Conference Finals. Stop me when I start lyin’!
