PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers (12-3) started the season with 11 straight wins. Then they slipped on a banana peal and loss three straight. Enter the Indianapolis Colts (10-5) on Sunday. They pulled up with the seat leaned all the way back looking to give the Steelers some smoke since they’ve seemed to have fallen asleep at the wheel. However, Mike Tomlin and Co. had too much pride to go out like that. They erased a 17-point third quarter deficit to win it 28-24.

The Colts went into the break up 21-7 making it look easy. They added a field goal to go up 24-7 and then the wheels, seats and transmission fell out of the joint. Somehow they allowed the Steelers to figure out who they really were and gave them enough confidence to win the darn game.

Ben Roethlisberger opened a fresh can on a boy in the second half and went to work throwing three touchdown passes finishing with 342 yards. They finally clinched the AFC North with the win.

Indianapolis came out of the gate going to work in the first half as they out-gained the Steelers 206-28. Rookie running back Jonathon Taylor got loose in the first half but was literally shut down in the second half. He finished with 74 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Philip Rivers completed his day with 270 yards, a touchdown and a pick.

The Colts end the season with the duns that stunned them with a Week 1 loss, Jacksonville. They haven’t won a game since. It should be interesting.
