Clemson’s at No.5 in first College Football Playoff rankings but has nothing to worry about because they play NOBODY! “Skating In”

Now that the first College Football Playoff rankings have hit the streets boyz can step back and take a deep breath. There weren’t any surprises if you really thought about it. Ohio State landed at No.1 I always thought that you were literally splitting hairs between the Buckeyes and LSU because they both have been taking care of business up to this point. LSU landed at No.2 with Alabama No.3 and Penn State at No.4.

The surprise for a lot of folks was that the defending national champs were on the initial outside looking in at No.5. However, it made all of the sense in the world because they haven’t played a real football game all season and won’t until they get into the playoff. They’re in the freakin’ terrible ACC for cryin’ out loud. They’ve got NOBODY on the schedule.

The crazy thing about it, they’ll be in the Top 4 by the season’s end because they’ll still be undefeated when the season is over.

Both LSU and Alabama play this weekend so one of them makes room for Clemson in next week’s ranking and then in two weeks Ohio State and Penn State bump heads. Therefore, Clemson’s guaranteed a spot unless they completely wet the bed against South Carolina in their rivalry game at the end of the season. I highly doubt that it will happen but that’s the only way Dabo and Co. don’t get in.

At No.6 Georgia is sitting in the cut because they know that all they’ve got to do is win out and their good. Even with the bad loss to South Carolina earlier this year. If they can get to the SEC title game and knock off either LSU or Bama they’re in. Heck, the way these cats are bias to the SEC all they really have to do is get to the SEC title game and play good and they can get in.

If the Big Ten beats each other up and the champ shows up with one loss they’ll put in a one loss SEC team like Georgia before a one loss Big Ten or Big 12 champ. That’s the foolishness I’m talking about.

So therefore, No.9 Oklahoma has screwed themselves with the loss to Kansas State. However, that loss isn’t as bad as the loss Georgia to South Carolina but the bias is real. Kansas State is 7-2 right now and ranked No.16.

Then there’s Oregon sitting at No.7 with Utah at No.8 and Florida rounds out the Top 10. Keep your seat belts on because it’s about to get real good down the stretch. Stop me when I start lyin’!
