Like the ole timers used to always say, “The more things change the more they remain the same.” I covered Paul George the entire time that he played for the Indiana Pacers and one thing that I know about him is that he’s a very nice guy that doesn’t want to be a jerk at any time with the media. So when you ask him questions he’s typically goin’ to give you the answers that he thinks that you want to hear. That’s just who he is.
So when boyz continue to ask him now what his free agency plans are after this season he’s not goin’ to be a jerk and just tell a boy to stop askin’ him about it. When he was recently asked about it ole boy referred to his conversation with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols.
“I can see myself being here. I’ve been happy here, I’ve been happy with the organization, happy with my teammates. Our record is not what we want it to be, but I think I’ve enjoyed just learning and being around these guys. So my answer is still the same. I’m not going to let the playoffs or how we finish this season persuade or indicate where I’m going to this offseason. I’m going to put everything into this and again, I can definitely see myself being here.”
Now I’ll have to warn you playboy, don’t put too much stock into that because he’s just a nice guy and is keepin’ the heat off of himself tryin’ to get through the season. And personally I think that it’s rude for duns to be askin’ him what he’s goin’ to do in free agency and the season is still goin’ on. What do you really expect for him to say?
That’s like walkin’ up on a boy’z job and askin’ him if he’s interviewin’ with the competitor down the street while he’s still on the clock? C’mon bruh! Where y’all from? What do you want him to say?
Paul doesn’t have to say a word about what his plans are until he decides to stay or dip. Why? Because his contract says that he’s a free agent once this season is over and not a day sooner. So for all of the fake media-types tryin’ to get answers today as to where he’ll go tomorrow need to get a life.
