Alabama continues to hustle the system and NOBODY questions it. “Still Hiding!”

Bruh...it's Week 5 of the college football season and Alabama is running over Louisiana-Lafayette while everybody else is playing real football teams! Photo: Michael Casagrande

Every football season I have to have this same dumb conversation with college football fans that continue to believe the hustle of the SEC and especially that of Alabama. Sure, when the smoke clears they’re normally sitting on top of the college football world as the national champs here lately. Since 2009 they’ve won five titles!! That’s incredible right? They’ve claimed 17 in their history! That’s AMAZING!!!

So when we start talking about HOW they continue to show up to the title game every year boyz want to act like the details aren’t as important. When I asked the question on Saturday of Week 5 of this college football season “Why is Alabama still playing cupcakes in Week 5 while everybody else in America is playing legitimate conference opponents?” boyz act like I said something wrong.

In Week 5 Bama is down in Tuscaloosa arm wrestling with Louisiana Lafayette while Ohio State is on the road playing in a hostile environment in front of more than 100K fans at Penn State. Stanford has traveled across two time zones to play Notre Dame in front of the watchful eye of Touchdown Jesus. Michigan is in a dog fight with Northwestern, West Virginia’s at Texas Tech and Oregon’s at Cal. Alabama’s playing around with Louisiana Lafayette and their boyz from Auburn is goofing around with Southern Miss.

It’s Week 5 and Alabama has yet to play a legitimate opponent. They already play in the terrible SEC West which consists of Arkansas, Miss State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Auburn and LSU. Bama has literally two games to play the entire regular season and that’s the LSU and Auburn game.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Stop telling me about the dull opening game every year because it’s always played on a neutral site in the south!! Bama refuses to play true home and away match ups with big time opponents. They’ll agree to play some one like Michigan in the south in either Atlanta or Dallas but they won’t travel to Ann Arbor or Ohio State or USC etc. Naw playa, they’ll hide right there in the south and beat up on mid-major schools like East Carolina, Troy, Georgia Southern, Louisiana Lafayette, Arkansas State etc.

In Week 11 of this season while everyone else in America will be playing for their playoff lives Bama will be taking a smoke break and playing The Citadel. So while boyz will be getting knocked out of the playoff hunt for playing conference games deep into the season the Tide will be rolling over The Citadel.

This is a freakin’ game bruh that nobody seems to see or cares to see. Alabama, like all of the schools in the SEC hide in the south because they understand that playing true road games in hostile environments can lead to regular season losses that will keep them out of the national championship picture so they don’t play them.

The last time Bama crossed the Mason-Dixon line was in 2011 when they went up to Penn State and beat them. However, they’ve got NO other games scheduled up north in the future. Georgia finally went north to play Notre Dame last season but that was the first time they’d crossed the Mason-Dixon since 1965!!! Auburn hadn’t left the south to play a regular season game since 1984!!! Stop trying to tell me how bad these dudes are when they’re hiding in their own neighborhoods beating up the little kids on their same block.

LSU finally left the south and went to Madison to play Wisconsin in 2016 and got beat. They’ve got no other games scheduled up north in their future. Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee all loss the last time they ventured north and for some strange reason NONE of them have games scheduled to play outside of the south. I wonder why?

Stop telling me about the number of ranked opponents Bama has beaten because you and I know both know that in the world of college football these ole fake media-types will rank darn near every team in the SEC in the Top 25 at the beginning of the season only to find out by the end of the season that only 3 or 4 were worth two dead flies smashed.

How many times did Georgia start off in the Top 5 under Mark Richt only for us to find out they weren’t that good. However, if you play them and their ranked it looks great on the resume.

The best advantage in college football is home field advantage. That’s why playing true home and away schedules with big time schools is the litmus test. Duns like Ohio State, Oklahoma, USC, Michigan etc. plays everybody home and away. We just saw Ohio State and Oklahoma play a home and away the past two seasons. Ohio State went to Norman and won and OU came back to Ohio and planted their flag with the help of Baker Mayfield. We’ve seen Notre Dame travel to Normal and vice versa. Alabama’s not doing that!!

They play three games all season long and their in the playoff. Like I said before, they’ve got LSU and Auburn in the regular season and then they play Georgia for the SEC title in ATLANTA and they’re in. They don’t have to travel to play in hostile territory to get to the title and they know it so they don’t do it.

And please don’t tell me about how tough it is to play at Ole Miss, Miss State, Tennessee and Arkansas. Those programs have been trash for decades. Ole Miss and Miss State has been good 2 or 3 times in my lifetime and I’m 51. And that’s only been recently. Tennessee hasn’t been worth a darn since T. Martin walked out of there. Stop it!!

So until Alabama starts playing some real teams on the road to prove how good they really are you can miss me with that foolishness. I know for a fact the last three times they played Oklahoma they loss and OU is under the Mason-Dixon but it’s a true road game out of the deep south. Bama traveled out to Norman in 2002 and loss. Then the Sooners came to Tuscaloosa and beat them in front of Big Momma in 2003 because I was at both games. Lastly, they destroyed them in the Sugar Bowl which was a neutral site.

My point is, start playing real football teams during the non-conference regular season and see how many national titles you’ll win. Stop me when I start lyin’!
