I’m always blown away by how ESPN tries to run this foolishness past us about how much better the entire SEC as a conference is than the rest of the country. I’ve been saying for years that the entire conference isn’t great it’s the top of the conference that’s head and shoulders better than everyone else.
The rest of the duns are no better than anyone else. It’s Alabama, LSU, Georgia are ALWAYS on the leader board. Duns like Florida and Auburn can be hit or miss but are usually good. However, there are 14 schools in the freakin’ conference.
So last night after the 1st round was complete these ESPN type cats start selling the fact that the SEC had 14 players drafted in the first round. Technically they did and it sounded like the conference was killin’ the game.
However, it’s the same schools that I mentioned before. LSU had 5 players drafted in the first round!!!! FIVE!!! Alabama had 4 go in the Top 15!!!! THAT’S NUTS!!! That’s 9 players from just two schools!!! IN THE FIRST ROUND!! Stop it!!! Those two schools were killin’ the game! NOT THE ENTIRE CONFERENCE!!
Georgia and Auburn both had 2 and South Carolina had 1. Stop telling me that the SEC dominated!! LSU and Alabama dominated the first round not the entire conference. It’s always a dun from Kentucky hollerin’ SEC, SEC, SEC when they aren’t doing a darn thing to contribute to the reputation of the conference. STOP IT!!!
Duns from Alabama don’t holler SEC. They holler Roll Tide!!! LSU ain’t hollerin’ SEC! They’re hollerin’ Geaux Tigers!!
Nobody was talking about ole dull Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Miss State, Tennessee, Missouri, Texas A&M, Arkansas last night during the first round. They didn’t even mention those schools. Give the props where the props are due. The top 2 or 3 schools are head and shoulders above the rest of the country but the bottom feeders are no different than anyone else’s bottom feeders. Stop me when I start lyin’!
