Jordan was dead wrong for calling Pippen selfish while beefing over his contract “Where’s the loyalty bruh?”

As I continue to dissect “The Last Dance” which, so far, has been an incredible documentary detailing the final season of the Chicago Bulls dynasty.

Unless you’ve been under a rock or walking around with blind folds on and ear plugs in we’ve all seen the selfishness of Michael Jordan over the past 36 years. However, it was incredible to me to see how he left his most valuable teammate of his career hanging by NOT supporting Pippen with his contract dispute.

In 1991 Scottie signed the worst contract known to man which was a 7 year deal worth $18 million. During that final season he was beefing with Jerry Krause and Jerry Reinsdorf about it. Now like I said in the Hot Joint entitled “Side Note” on yesterday Pippen should have been mad at himself for signing such a wack deal. He signed it WIDE awake. He can’t blame anybody but himself.

However, if you’re Michael Jeffery Jordan, the most powerful and influential guy to ever play the game of basketball and your boy is having a problem over his contract. It would only make sense that he would ride for him and at least holler at Krause about it. OR at least look like he’s being supportive of his homeboy. Not Mike…

Instead Jordan, in the documentary, was mad at Pippen for acting the way he was acting. Now keep in mind, Mike was making $33 million that season alone which was unheard of in the NBA at that time. Pippen was making $2.7 million that year after helping Jordan and the Bulls win 5 NBA titles and being essentially the second best player in the league at the time by most people’s standard.

Side Note: Jordan only made $86 million with the Bulls during his career and $63 million of it came during his final two seasons. So he already knew they were getting screwed but the Jordan Brand and other endorsements kept him from trippin’ about it.

Let’s proceed with this foolishness. However, all Jordan was concerned about was getting his like he’s always been.

In contrast a dun like LeBron, who everybody simply hates, has publicly gone to bat for teammates that couldn’t hold Pippen’s shoe laces.

Remember when he got Tristan Thompson $82 million for 5 years and then turned around and got ole dull, I don’t know whose winning as the clock expires in the Finals J.R. Smith $57 million over a 4 year deal? I’m only bringing this up because boyz would have been quick to destroy LeBron if he’d done what Jordan did. Think about the fall out if someone like Kyrie were beefing with ownership about his contract and LBJ were sitting there saying he should be playing and not worrying about his bread.

Now don’t get it twisted, LBJ has done some shady moves on boyz too. Remember when he flew back from Vegas with D Wade and didn’t tell him that he was leaving Miami after Wade had already opted out of his contract? That was foul all day long but I can at least say that he was foul. Jordanaires are like Trump supporters. They will never admit when their boy is wrong.

That’s the double standard foolishness that I’m talking about. If Pippen was Mike’s boy then how can he say that Pippen was being selfish. The one rule of pro sports that NO player violates is that of talking about another man’s bread.

When cats are in dispute about their money the other players back off. Why? Because EVERYBODY understands that it’s a business. They NEVER comment on boy’z money beefs with management.

However, Mike threw Pip under the bus in “TheLast Dance” by saying that he was selfish for trippin’ over his terrible contract when he was making more than 10 times that. Not to mention all of the endorsement money he was getting. That’s called being selfish to the 10th degree. I’m glad Draymond brought it up because when I bring these things up I’m the Jordan hater. Stop me when I start lyin’!
