Why Romeo Langford should sprint to the NBA right now! “No questions asked”

Everybody and their baby’s momma, Uncle LeRoy and Man-Man has been saying the same thing about IU’s Romeo Langford for the past couple of weeks. Most cats have finally come to the conclusion that it would be better for him to stay in school for an additional year than to go to the NBA after his freshman year.

After watching him during his first season in Bloomington most folks seem to believe that he could use a second year of college basketball to prepare for the league. Well…I’m on the opposite end of that thinking. He’s averaging 17.6 points per game with 5.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists and he projected to be a lottery pick in this June’s NBA Draft.

Why? Because he’s still living off of the hype he came out of high school with. If he’s projected to be a lottery pick then he’s gotta go. Why? Because his draft status isn’t going to get any better than what it is right now. Who cares if the dun isn’t ready to play in the NBA right now? I told you when I saw him play several times at New Albany last year that he had absolutely NO dog in him.

He’s got crazy skills but he plays with no sense of urgency which is going to be a problem for him at the next level. Bruh…it’s been a problem for him in the Big Ten!!! In big games he’s been nonexistent but he’s still projected to go high in the draft.

An old timer told me once, “You’re worth whatever somebody is wiling to pay you!” If the NBA is willing to give ole boy a lottery pick bag then he’s gotta go. It makes absolutely no sense to stay in Bloomington for another year when the money’s on the table. If he’s not ready to play in the NBA then he’ll at least have his bread while he’s trying to figure it out. Stop me when I start lyin’!
