We aren’t even safe in our OWN homes but Kaepernick and Nike are the problem? “Toilets and Beer”

Botham Shem Jean, 26, was shot to death while mindin' his own business in his own home by a Dallas police officer on Thursday night and now they're trying to make him out to be the criminal.

UNITES STATES OF AMERICA — It blows my mind the amount of people in this country that refuse to acknowledge that racism exists and that they are, themselves, complicit in so much of this foolishness. We’ve seen folks burnin’ Nike gear all week because they’re upset that Colin Kaepernick has become the face of the 30th Anniversary “Just Do It” campaign.

Now they hate this dude because he took a knee durin’ the playin’ of the national anthem to protest police brutality, racial and social injustice. However, he made it clear as to why he took that knee but racism again took over and changed the narrative. Racism told the world that he was disrespectin’ the flag and our military. Racism did that not Colin Kaepernick or Nike.

But let’s fast forward to Thursday night. Unless you’ve been under a rock for the past 72 hours you’re aware of the tragedy that’s taken place in Dallas with another unarmed black man bein’ killed by the police. Botham Shem Jean, 26, was killed in his OWN apartment by off duty police officer, Amber Guyger, who is white, when she says that she mistakenly entered the wrong apartment.

She’d just gotten off of work and tried to enter what she thought was her apartment and some kind of way ended up shootin’ this man dead in his own home. Initially the Dallas Police Department said that they were issuin’ a manslaughter warrant but on Sunday we’re hearin’ that no such warrant is bein’ issued, at least for now.

So we’ve gotten to a point where we can’t even be safe in our own homes but Colin Kaepernick and Nike are wrong for standin’ up against police brutality, racial and social injustice? Is that what you’re tryin’ to tell me? Are you that hateful and ignorant that you can’t see that there is a huge problem in this country with racists runnin’ amuck?

Unarmed black folks are bein’ killed by police officers all over this country and none of these cops are losin’ their jobs, bein’ indicted or convicted of any crimes but those that take a knee in protest of it are the criminals? It’s a shame that we even have to protest for equal rights and treatment under the law.

It’s a shame that we can’t drive our cars up and down the streets without bein’ worried about the police pullin’ us over a routine traffic stop. Our kids can’t cut the neighbors grass without havin’ the police called on them. We can’t go to the neighborhood pool without bein’ harassed by other residents about whether we live in the community or not. Our daughters can’t sell lemonade to raise money to go to Disney Land. We can’t BBQ in public parks without the police showin’ up. We can’t change lanes on the street without racists followin’ us home and callin’ us the N-word and tellin’ us that we don’t belong here when we built this freakin’ country for free.

It’s ridiculous that I’ve even got to write this joint to address the ignorance in America today because there are so many people that only care about the people that look like them. We keep hearin’ that they’re upset because Kaepernick and others are disrespectin’ the flag and the military but those same people will be buyin’ beer and usin’ the toilet durin’ the playin’ of the national anthem today. Give me a freakin’ break and stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
