CLEVELAND,OH– When the Indiana Pacers reported to trainin’ camp last fall the first thing Victor Oladipo said to me was that he would be playin’ this season with a brick on his shoulder. Ole boy felt like nobody was givin’ them a chance to be any good because of the revamped roster with 9 new faces on it, includin’ his.

Well playas…fast forward to Wednesday April 18, 2018! Not only have they turned out to be better than expected but they’ve won 48 regular season games, ended as a 5 seed in the East and beaten the brakes off of Cleveland in Game 1 of the first round. Now it’s time to lace them up for Game 2 and an opportunity to go up 2-0 if Oladipo’s brick can get any bigger.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! After Game One’s explosion in Cleveland the Pacers gained a lot of national respect. Most cats hadn’t seen them play all season and was completely blown away by the speed at which they play and the swag that Oladipo brings to the floor. And please don’t let me forget about Lance “The Don Dada’s” energy as long as they can keep it from boilin’ over.

It’s been extremely fun to watch all season and now that they’ve gone up 1-0 on the Cavaliers and captured home court advantage this series just got interestin’. Keep in mind that they owned the Cavs 3-1 in the regular season. That only counts for confidence for Indiana because the Cavs had two different teams. They traded everybody but Uncle LeRoy and cousin Man-Man at the trade deadline.

However, with the Pacers drillin’ a hole in them in Game 1 everybody and their baby’s momma will be tuned in for Game 2 to see what that Philistine will bring to the table because everybody around this way already knows what to expect from Victor Oladipo. His brick is about to get as big as we’ve seen all season long.

Now that Cleveland’s backs are up against the wall I would expect for LeBron to drop a cool 45 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists to get them back to 1-1 goin’ back to Indiana on Friday for Game 3. However, the process of watchin’ he and Vic put up crazy numbers tonight will be worth the price of admission or the cable bill. LeBron understands what’s at stake and his legacy depends on it and Oladipo is tryin’ to build his legacy as we speak. People only remember what you’ve done in the playoffs playa. So it’s put up or shut up. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
