Dwayne Casey, the freakin’ Coach of the Year, was fired by the Toronto Raptors on Friday. The dun was essentially pushed out of the door into traffic after gettin’ swept in the second round of the playoffs by the Cleveland Cavaliers for the second year in a row.
The Raptors were the No.1 seed in the East and they had the 2nd best record in the NBA. On some real talk, everybody in Canada should have been elated to have that resume. Why? Because that’s the best it’s EVER goin’ to get!!!
Here’s the problem bruh. It’s the NBA and in order to win a championship you’ve got to have multiple SUPERSTARS and you’re not goin’ to get multiple superstar free agents to show up in Toronto voluntarily. I keep tellin’ these Pacers fans the same thing. Would you rather live in Malibu or Carmel if you had $100 million and you were 25?
So you can act like you’re finer than you are but you’re not. We’ve all run into the woman at the club that thinks she’s a whole lot finer than she actually is and is givin’ off crazy attitude? She thinks she a 10 when she’s really a 5.2 dressed up real nice but you can’t tell her anything. That was Toronto on Friday mornin’ firin’ Dwayne Casey. Boyz have been gassin’ you up tellin’ you that you’re fine but you really ain’t that fine.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! For the past three seasons they’ve had to run into the best player on the planet and they’ve got no answer for him. Not even close to an answer for him. They couldn’t even slow him down because they don’t make other human beings like him.
The only reason that Golden State keeps beatin’ him is because they’ve got a truck full of superstars that win every other matchup on the floor and 3 is more than 2 all day. They still can’t stop or slow him down but they show up with more fire power just like they will this year.
So it doesn’t matter who the darn coach is bruh unless Toronto can move to a place where free agents want to play. They’re still goin’ to lose in the playoffs to LeBron until the dun slows down or leaves the East.
Does it really matter if they got swept or if they had gotten beaten 4-2? At the end of the day they weren’t goin’ to win the series because they don’t have the personnel to win the matchups on the floor to advance. Even with the duds that LeBron’s playin’ with right now. He can do enough to beat any team in the NBA except Golden State because of the arsenal they consistently show up with.
So firin’ Dwayne Casey doesn’t change the future of the Raptors not one bit. Even if you go online and made a prototype with a combination of Popovich, Pat Riley, Phill, darn Chuck Daly and Red Auerbach they were goin’ to lose to LeBron because he’s just that much of a problem for normal teams with normal human beings. Golden State is not normal and doesn’t have normal human beings shootin’ the ball. Stop me when I start lyin’!
