PITTSBURGH — While everybody in Cleveland is celebrating this morning and rightfully so, after a 48-37 dragging of the Steelers in the Wildcard game to advance to the AFC Divisional round. The faithful in Pittsburgh should just be ashamed to call the Steelers their own.
Yes, I said dragging because the final score was not indicative of the beating the Browns gave them. They jumped off of the bus and put up 28 unanswered first quarter points on the Steelers as they held on with both hands to finish the game.
Pittsburgh got embarrassed by an organization that hadn’t won a playoff game since 1996 and they hadn’t won a road playoff game since 1969. Absolutely ridiculous!!!
It would have been different if it were somebody like the Bears that nobody but Bears fans believe in every year. I wouldn’t be so hard on them if that were the case. However, it was the Steelers! It’s one of the best franchises in the NFL and not only that, they started the season 11-0.
They got everybody’s attention coming out of the gates only to drop three straight before losing a total of four games for the season. They lost to Cleveland last week while resting players for the Wild Card round, then got out there and soiled Big Momma’s mattress on both sides.
They completely wasted EVERYBODY’S time this season including their own. Of course, anybody can lose a playoff game at any time. It’s the NFL right? However, to start the season the way they did and just “die on the vine” like Mike Tomlin said in his post-game interview is shameful.
They got drug by the Browns!! Yes, and I know that the Browns are a good team but they’re still the Browns. Kansas City will remind us all who they really are on next week in the AFC Divisional round. In my Das Efx voice, “I’m Dead Serious!” Stop me when I start lyin’!
