The IU basketball program shows that it’s a complete disaster during and after the Purdue loss! “Wheredeydodatat?”

Twenty-four hours after the Purdue Boilermakers walked out of Assembly Hall with a 48-46 win over the Hoosiers folks aren’t talking about how bad IU looked. Well…yeah they are but most importantly they’re talking about how classless the fans were at Indiana University. Teams lose all of the time in rivalry games. However, the key to keeping your respect in the loss is how you handle to loss.

On Tuesday night the IU faithful went off of the deep end screaming “F*** You Haarms” to Purdue center Matt Haarms for the better part of the second half after he got tangled up with IU’s De’Ron Davis. They were competing like kids at that level are supposed to do. However, the Indiana student body continued to shout obscenities and nobody from the IU athletic administration attempted to stop it.

This is a university setting and nobody in charge got on the microphone and said a mumbling word to the student body to chill out or even to remind them that they are representing INDIANA UNIVERSITY. That’s ridiculous and folks will tell you in a heartbeat that IU is an elite program. WHAT!!? Acting like that? And playing like that?

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I’m a proud IU alum and it’s embarrassing to know that my alma mater treated another player like that and nobody in charge had the gonads to grab the mic and shut it down. It’s already embarrassing enough to know that the hoop team is terrible and can’t win a dice game with pair of loaded dice.

How many times did the Hoosiers come out of a time out on Tuesday night and turn the ball over? How many times did they come out of a timeout without a freakin’ play called that made an ounce of sense? How many times did the McDonald’s All-Amercan pass up wide open looks or simply disappear on the floor?

Who’s coaching this darn team? Elmer Fudd or Mickey Mouse? So with all of that foolishness going on on the floor the fans have the nerve to say “F*** You Haarms” all night? Really bruh? How about the Hoosier faithful concentrating on their team and the train wreck it’s become. It’s clear that there isn’t an ounce of chemistry in that locker room. There isn’t a sense of urgency anywhere near the program and nobody seems to care whether they’re winning or losing in Bloomington.

And to make matters worse, the IU players were standing around on the floor after the game in their uniforms signing autographs and taking pictures after losing to their biggest rival like it was nothing. Not only did they lose but they got swept this season by the Boilermakers. However, they’ve got time to take pictures and sign autographs on the floor after the game. Wheredeydodatat?

Please stop telling me that Indiana is an elite basketball program because it’s not! It hasn’t been one for at least 30 years. How do I know? I was a student at IU the last time it was one. Instead of screaming obscenities at players on the other team how about requiring your team to at least care about winning and losing. Let’s start there. Stop me when I start lyin’!
