The Hoosiers wet the bed in the second half to fall at Maryland 78-75! “C’mon Bruh!”

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The No.22 Indiana Hoosiers (12-4, 3-2 Big Ten) got off of the bus at Maryland looking like they were going to take some sneakers and jewelry real quick and head back to Bloomington without even being noticed. They went on a 9-0 run to start the game and by the time we’d gotten to the 13 minute mark of the first half the Hoosiers were running these boyz by 14 points.

Then Bruno Fernando took his seat belt off and went off for 25 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Terrapins past Indiana 78-75 outscoring the Hoosiers 51-40 in the second half.

It was the fifth straight win for Maryland (14-3, 5-1 Big Ten) and they are 5-1 this season when trailing at the break. Whatever Big Momma is telling them at halftime is working. I bet head coach Mark Turgeon wishes that they would listen to her before the game.

The Hoosiers were led by Romeo Langford’s 28 points followed by Devonte Green’s 15 and Juwan Morgan dropped off 14. As a team they shot well making 49 percent of their shots from the field and even 41 percent of their three pointers.

The Hoosiers went 16 for 16 from the foul line but gave up 18 offensive rebounds giving Maryland crazy second chance shots. That was the difference in the ball game. Up next Nebraska at the crib on Monday.
