Loyalty over royalty; word is bond.” Well playas, the Los Angeles Clippers clipped television game analyst Bruce Bowen for next season by not renewing his contract with Fox Sports West. Why? Because he wasn’t loyal to their ridiculous dreams of signin’ Kawhi Leonard next summer and he gave an honest opinion of him back in June.
Ole boy was a guest on Sirius XM Radio and they asked him about the Kawhi situation down in San Antonio since he was a three time NBA champ there and his No.12 jersey has been retired.
So he gave them an honest answer as a former player. Here’s what he had to say, “I think there’s nothing but excuses going on. First, it was, ‘Well I was misdiagnosed.’ Look here: You got $18 million this year, and you think that they’re trying to rush you? You didn’t play for the most part a full season this year. And you’re the go-to guy, you’re the franchise, and you want to say that they didn’t have your best interest at heart? Are you kidding me?”
He goes on to say, “I think he’s getting bad advice. I think what you’re starting to see now is an individual given a certain amount of advice, and it’s not the right advice. Here it is: You were protected in San Antonio. You were able to come up during a time where you still could lean on Tim [Duncan], Tony [Parker]and Manu [Ginobli].”
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! What part of what he said was wrong? What part of what he said was crazy? What part of what he said was ridiculous? What part of what he said is goin’ to keep the Clippers from signin’ Kawhi? None of it, because they’ve got no shot at signin’ the dun now that LeBron’s in LA with the Lakers.
I know that the Clippers think that they have a shot at signin’ him durin’ the summer of 2019 because he said that he wanted to come back to LA. However, there is only one team in LA. Stop foolin’ yourself playa. When boyz say LA they’re only talkin’ about the Lakers. The Clippers were only relevant when the Lakers weren’t. Now the game has changed and they are now.
So by firin’ Bowen to put yourself in a better situation to sign a player that you’ve got NO shot at signin’ is called playin’ yourself. With LeBron rockin’ the purple and gold now, any big time free agent that says he wants to go to LA is not talkin’ about you. The Clippers are the Clippers I don’t care how much bread they’ve got.
The Lakers have bread too and they’ve got LeBron. That’s called the trump card bruh. So unfortunately, the Clippers made the news for no reason. Good luck with that foolishness and stop me when I start lyin’!
