WEST LAFAYETTE, IN. — Former Warren Central All-American David Bell just keeps making plays for the Purdue Boilermakers. With 1:08 left to play the ridiculously talented freshman from the FAR EAST SIDE of Indianapolis scored from nine yards out to give the Boilermakers the go ahead touchdown to seal the deal 31-27 to be Nebraska.

On a team where the injury bug has gone crazy this season David Bell has been able to shine week after week. Starting quarterback Jake Plummer went down with a right ankle injury and will probably miss the remainder of the season according to head coach Jeff Brohm after seeing him being helped off of the field.

They’ve already lost quarterback Elijah Sindelar with a broken left collarbone. They lost the All-American receiver Rondale Moore four weeks ago with a left hamstring injury and now Plummer. Keep in mind that they didn’t have David Bell coming out of training camp and he was snake bitten early this season. They had loss two straight before picking up this huge home win on Saturday.

The Boilermakers improve to 3-6 on the season and their lucky to have three wins with the amount of injuries they’ve sustained.

Despite missing the last seven minutes of the fourth quarter Plummer finished with 242 yards passing on 25/34 with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Up next Purdue goes to Northwestern next week.
