Russell Westbrook’s trying to get out of OKC is a waste of time! “He’s Great but Poison”

Now that Paul George has bounced for greener pastures in LA, Russell Westbrook and his agent, Thad Foucher, have been discussing possible trade scenarios for the 11 year veteran. Ole boy finally wants out of OKC now that he doesn’t have another star player there with him and winning seems to be off of the table.

The phrase that a lot of media-types have been using is “now that the Thunder has fallen out of contention Russ thinks that it’s time to leave.” Now what contention are they talking about? OKC has been bounced from the playoffs in the first round the past three seasons. They’ve haven’t been in contention for the past three seasons. That’s the reality of the situation.

The big homie Walt Disney once said, “You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality.”  They haven’t been in contention since KD left for Golden State when they had the Warriors down 3-1 and blew that Western Conference Finals series.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! If he was going to bounce he should have took off when Durant left. Playing around with Paul George and Carmelo was a complete waste of time. Neither one of them have done a thing in the playoffs. Their track record speaks for itself. Sure, PG did some work with the Pacers to get to the Eastern Conference Finals a couple of years in a row against LeBron’s Miami Heat but in clutch situations PG was still laying eggs and wetting the bed.

So for Young Russ to be in a panic to get out of OKC now is crazy. Unfortunately, he’s that guy that just doesn’t fit with anybody. He puts up crazy numbers and plays hard every night. However, it doesn’t help his team win when he needs to. He’s poison. Great player, but poison. He’s averaged a triple double for three straight years and it’s gotten him nowhere. Did I mention that he’s still got 4 years and $170 million left on this current deal? Who’s crazy enough to absorb that and still not win?

Now there are rumors that he could possibly end up in Miami with Jimmy Butler. That’s not going to work any more than that foolishness down in Houston with James Harden and Chris Paul. I was the only one screaming that it wouldn’t work when they put it together but a boy wouldn’t listen. Stop me when I start lyin’!
