Pelicans fire hard headed Dell Demps for listening to the wrong cats, being prideful and blowing the Anthony Davis situation! “Tripped Out”

I’m going to keep saying it bruh!!! “At some point y’all are going to start listenin’ to me!!!” On Friday the New Orleans Pelicans fired general manager Dell Demps for essentially screwing up the Anthony Davis trade or lack thereof. The dun didn’t trade the biggest asset they had when he didn’t/doesn’t want to be there. Ole boy, Demps, was listening to cats like Gregg Popovich who’s got absolutely nothing to do with the Pelicans tell him not to trade Davis to the Lakers.

According to league sources the Pelicans owner Gayle Benson was fired up over the Anthony Davis trade demand and how ole boy allowed “outside forces” influence them into making decisions that weren’t in the best interest of the organization. Her mandate has been to “take back control” from outside forces. That means to stop listening to duns that don’t work here.

When I wrote the crazy Hot Joint three days before the trade deadline entitled “Trippin'” explaining to everybody and their baby’s momma why Demps needed to make the trade with the Lakers because they had no other options duns told me that I was crazy!!!

The Lakers offered everything to the Pelicans for Anthony Davis but Shaq’s statue out front, the Old Western Forum and freakin’ Jack Nicolson. Magic even sweetened the pie over several phone calls to Demps. Not only did the Lakers offer them Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball and two first round draft picks. They also told a boy that they would absorb the remaining $12.7 million on Solomon Hill’s contract. Who? That was my freakin’ point!!!

Demps is sitting at the crib right now because he was hard headed and let his pride get in the way. He knew the Lakers deal was sweet but his pride told him not to let a boy punk him into trading Davis to the Lakers. He knew that it made all of the sense in the world to get rid of a player that no longer wanted to be there. GM 101 teaches you to unload a dun once he no longer wants to be with your franchise. Why? Because he suddenly becomes a problem to your organization. He’s a bad apple and you already know what bad apples do to the rest of the bunch.

Anthony Davis was no longer an asset the day he decided he no longer wanted to be in New Orleans. So why hold on to him and try to move him over the summer? Nobody’s going to give you good assets for a player that has already told the world he wants to be a Laker.

He becomes a free agent in July of 2020. So who’s going to give up young talent to rent a player for a season? It makes no sense. That’s why Demps played himself by not moving Davis to the Lakers when they offered him the farm for ole boy. Now they’ll still have to move him but for a considerably less price.

The new GM is going to get fleeced this summer trying to move him. It’s going to be like going to the Flea Market now bruh. Again, y’all are going to start listening to me at some point. Good luck with that playa!! Stop me when I start lyin’!
