Well playas…Paul George has shut down all of the speculation as to whether he would go to the crib to play for the Lakers or not. On Saturday night Russell Westbrook, better known on TheJayGravesReport as Young Russ, threw a huge house party out in Edmund, OK near Lake Arcadia for about 500 invited guests.
All of a sudden the dun named Paul George shows up, grabs the mic and tells a boy, “If y’all don’t quite get it! Let me say it again: I’m here to stay.” After everybody goes NUTS Nas takes over the emcee duties for the night and rocks the joint.
Paul George is stayin’ in OKC and ole boy didn’t even bother to sit down with Magic and the Lakers!!! That’s huge for the Thunder to pull off one of the biggest heists of this year’s free agency period. Everybody and their baby’s momma had him goin’ to LA, includin’ me. Why? Because he’s has been talkin’ about goin’ to the Lakers since he was with the Pacers.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! This completely changes the game because boyz had LeBron and PG possibly goin’ to LA together but now that’s blown up. You can’t put Kawhi in the car because he’s still under contract with San Antonio and has to be traded somewhere. Will the Spurs be crazy enough to give up Kawhi for a bunch of young cats? Will they do a multiple team trade? Will they be stubborn and not work with LA on GP? We’ll see…
I still say that it makes more basketball sense for Kawhi to stay in San Antonio and for LeBron to go there and play for a real coach for the first time in his career. That’s more stable than them tryin’ to hook up in LA. But that’s just me playa.
Now that PG has dug his feet in the mud down in OKC LeBron goin’ to the Lakers with a bunch of young cats isn’t any better of a situation than he had in Cleveland. As a matter of fact, it’s worse unless they can work out a deal to get Kawhi. However, he’d still have to get through both Houston and Golden State just to even get to the Finals if he goes to LA. Therefore, goin’ to LA makes no sense from a basketball stand point.
Nobody’s goin’ to say it publicly but PG just changed the game this free agency period. Yeah we already know that CP3 signed an extension with the Rockets but nobody had him in play to leave anyway. It just got interestin’ so let’s just sit in the cut and watch all of the rest of dominoes fall. Stop me when I start lyin’!
