Pacers were super excited to select Aaron Holiday with the 23rd pick!! “Maturity”

INDIANAPOLIS, IN. — Well playas…the wait is over and so is the NBA Draft! The Indiana Pacers have selected Aaron Holiday out of UCLA with the 23rd pick and Alize Johnson from Missouri State with the 50th. Nobody’s all that concerned about what they did with the 50th pick because that dun may not even see the floor for a while. Let’s talk about what everybody’s thinkin’. What’s up with Aaron Holiday? Did they get what they were lookin’ for in the first round?

Well…the first thing Nate McMillan said when he met with the press after the pick was, “Pretty much…everything went the way we thought it would go. As far as the players that went before our pick, we thought it would go that way and our guy Aaron was there. We’re getting a solid guard.” He went on to say, “He’s a solid guard, two-way player that plays both ends of he floor, high basketball IQ at that point guard position, he’s fearless, he’s a tough guy and he prides himself on playing on the defensive end of the floor.”

I’d say that ole Nate was hyped about their pick wouldn’t you?

The 6’1″ point guard will be a great addition to the Pacers roster. I’m quite sure Nate loves the fact that he’s played college basketball for three years. He’s got some experience playin’ the game and can bring some maturity to the floor.

Not only that but he’s got the DNA to play at this level. He’s the younger brother of NBA guards Jrue and Justin Holiday. So he’s seen up close and personal what it takes to play in this league. I’m quite sure the older brothers will keep him from makin’ the normal rookie mistakes on and off of the floor. That’s a huge advantage for a player.

The Pacers love the fact that he’s comfortable playin’ both guard positions. He can make plays for himself and others as well as bein’ able to shoot the three. Most importantly he’s a committed defender as Nate stated earlier.

It should be interestin’ to see how this addition plays out because they’re stacked with point guards and they obviously won’t keep them all. Joe Young is up against a team option this year. So we’ll see what happens there.

The Pacers are super excited about what Aaron Holiday can bring to the table and I’m quite sure the fans are too.

Ironically, as a Bruin he became the first UCLA player to lead the conference in scorin’ since Reggie Miller 32 years ago durin’ the 1985-86 season. Let’s hope he can be half as good as Reggie was for the Pacers. We’ll talk about Alize Johnson once he gets to trainin’ camp and starts turnin’ some heads. Good luck lil’/big homies and stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
