CHARLOTTE — On Monday night the Pacers won their first game without it’s superstar Victor Oladipo who’s been out injured. They were 0-7 without him since he joined the team a year ago in a trade for Paul George. They dove all over the Utah Jazz giving them confidence to go on the road on Wednesday to play the Charlotte Hornets.

Well playas…they got off of the bus looking for the NBA’s leading scorer, Kemba Walker, who had scored 103 points in the previous two games. Instead, they ran into a cat that was more willing to pass the ball than shoot it. Walker only took 10 shots all night finishing with 11 assists in a 127-109 win over the Pacers.

Ole boy only scored 16 points but played the role of distributor all night as he drew crazy attention in the pick and roll. Instead of him killin’ the Pacers he let his lil’ homie, Jeremy Lamb, shine with 21 points. While Indiana was keeping an eye on Kemba the rest of the Hornets got out of the ride and lit the Blue and Gold up.

Dwayne Bacon, Malik Monk and Frank Kaminsky all came out of the bushes on a boy scoring 18, 15 and 11 points respectively. Cody Zeller even popped them for a solid 15 points all because Kemba was drawing as much attention as a car accident during rush hour on 465.

Bojan Bogdanovic led the Pacers with 20 in Oladipo’s absence as Thaddeus Young dropped off 16. Domantas Sabonis was limited to 19 minutes after rolling his ankle midway through the second quarter. He was 7 for 7 for 15 points at the time. He eventually came back into the game but didn’t score another point. It was clear that he wasn’t the same player after the injury as he fouled out with 6 minutes left to play.

Doug McDermott finished with 15 points and the rookie, Aaron Holiday, continued to play well for the Pacers as he finished with 11 points. Indiana will be back in action on Friday at home against the Spurs. Stop me when I start lyin’!
