There’s an old school colloquialism that says, “You gotta take what you can get when you can get it playa!” The Indiana Pacers ran out to Oakland on Tuesday night and caught the Golden State Warriors short handed. They were without Klay Thompson (broken thumb), Kevin Durant (rib injury), Draymond Green (ill) and Steph Curry (left knee injury).

The Pacers overcame a slow start but held the Warriors to only 11 points down the stretch in the fourth quarter to come out of the joint with a 92-81 victory on the road. It was just the first time in four games at Golden State that the Pacers were able to win. The last time they knocked off the defendin’ champs on their home floor was Jan. 20, 2014. And guess what? Pacers’ fans will take it.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Nobody cares that Steve Kerr’s crew wasn’t at full strength. They could have been playin’ with the trainers, the team doctors and the freakin’ parkin’ lot attendants for all I care. The Understudy is still part of the cast. As long as the jersey said Golden State. As long as the NBA approved the duns on the floor to represent the brand.

When the record comes out with an additional “W” on it who cares who was on the floor. Indiana is now 44-31 on the season and it says that they beat Golden State. That’s a great confidence builder comin’ down the stretch and into the playoffs.

Victor Oladipo led the Blue and Gold with 24 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Thaddeus Young came through with  a solid double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. Bojan Bogdanovic dropped off an additional 17 points on his way to Big Momma’s house.

Who would have thought that this team would have 44 wins on the season? Not me playa. It’a been so much fun to watch these cats compete every night. How can you not like this team and Nate is doin’ a helluva job of coachin’!

Up next Sacramento on Thursday. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
