Pacers bounce back with overtime win over Pelicans! Malcolm Brogdon hits game winning shot with 1.7 seconds left!

The Indiana Pacers bounced back from a heartbreaking loss to the New York Knicks over the weekend. They pulled up at the Smoothie King and beat the New Orleans Pelicans 118-116 in overtime to get back on track.

Malcolm Brogdon dropped the game winner on a one-handed floater with 1.7 seconds left in overtime to seal the deal.

After the game Brogdon had this to say, “It was pretty simple. Coach trusts me with the ball. He wanted me to get it, get to my spot and make the last shot. I got to my spot and it dropped.”

Indiana finished with five players in double figures with Victor Oladipo leading the way with 25 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Brogdon finished with an amazing 21 points, 11 assists and 7 rebounds. Ole boy was ballin’!!

Domantas Sabonis dropped off his normal solid double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds finishing with 7 assists. Myles Turner gave them 17 points before fouling out in overtime. Doug McDermott came off of the bench with 11.

All five of the Pelicans starters finished in double figures with Brandon Ingram doing work with 31 points. Zion Williamson didn’t disappoint with 24 points and 10 rebounds.

The Pacers made 19 3-pointers on 45 shot attempts (42%). That’s nuts!!! They did an excellent job of sharing the basketball with 32 assists.

They improve to 5-2 and up next is Houston on Wednesday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
