I would have sworn that I was in Oakland’s Oracle Arena instead of in Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Thursday night when I walked out of the tunnel for shoot around. There were duns all over the place rockin’ Golden State jerseys. I’ve never seen anything like it bruh. From toddlers to fully grown men walkin’ around with the No.30 on. The hype was crazy for the defendin’ NBA Championships. You would have thought that the Beatles were in town. Then they tipped it off and the Pacers beat the brakes off of the boyz from the Bay Area 126-106 to sweep them for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

It’s like all of the hype rushed out of buildin’ like carbon monoxide out of an open window. The Pacers went up 18-11 early in the first quarter just to put a boy on notice. Golden State kept their composure and stayed in it to end the openin’ quarter down only 27-26. However, the Pacers were shootin’ 57 percent from the field and 50 percent from behind the arc.

With 10 minutes left in 3rd quarter the Pacers were still shootin’ 60 percent from three-point range. In other words, they were shootin’ the lights outta the joint. They finished shootin’ it 54 percent from the field and 51 percent from three.

Bojan Bogdanovic led all scorers with 28 points as Victor Oladipo dropped 21 points and 7 assists. Thaddeus Young gave ‘um 16 points just to keep a boy honest as Darren Collison added 15.

Once the clock read zeros all of the Golden State fans were marchin’ out of the spot shocked and disappointed to say the least. The Pacers are not playin’ with these boyz out here and yeah I know Steph didn’t play but that’s life ain’t it? Since January 3rd they are 28-13 and are on a mission to get to the playoffs red hot. Well playas…it sure looks that way and the playoffs are just about a week away. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
