LAWRENCE — Everbody and their Uncle Man-Man showed up to see Warren Central/Lawrence Central III in the Sectional 10 Championship Game. The Big Body Chevy from the FAR EAST SIDE had to bump heads one more time with the ’79 Impala from Lawrence Township. When the smoke cleared the Impala driven by Nijel Pack and Co. hit the parking lot bumpin’ that “All I Do Is Win” joint with the license plate reading 67-52 LC.

Right out of the gate LC was the hunter. They jumped on Warren Central getting out of the ride as they went up 10-4 right away fueled by two massive dunks. Jake Laravia and Wes Johnson brought the house down with back to back dunks early on.

However, Warren Central is accustomed to playing in high stakes games like these. So they weren’t about to fold up the tents and dip. Shawn Beeler knocked down a three to pull the Warriors to within three down 12-9.

Pack was in a zone from the time he walked in the building bruh! He was doing everything but painting the stripes on the floor. Ole boy was shootin’ that thang, taking boyz to the rack and playing hella defense too.

Since it was literally the third time these two have met this season there were no secrets left to unfold. They traded buckets the rest of the half.  At the break it was all knotted up at 30-30 with Pack sitting on 12 points for the Bears.

Warren’s David Bell picked up two early fouls and had to sit but it was temporary.

Right out of the break both squads put up points as they were still knotted up at 35. However, LC extended the lead to 40-35. In the blink of an eye the Bears went on a 7-2 run and was up 10 points 47-37 before I could bite into my hot dog.

At that point it was off to the races. Boyz were paying so much attention to Nijel Pack that he was finding his teammates wide open under the basket. The next thing you know is that it’s 58-45 and horses were out of the stables by then. It seemed like everything LC put up went in down the stretch and there was as lid on the bucket on the other end for Warren Central.

They went at least 3 or 4 minutes down the stretch without a bucket. Pack finished with 25 points and Dre Davis dropped off 16 on his way to the crib. Lawrence Central wins the toughest sectional in the state to advance. Isaiah Moore led the Warriors with 14.
