CHARLOTTE — Talk about having a serious bounce back game!!! Domantas Sabonis went out early in the first half of Monday night’s game against Toronto with a bruised knee following a collision with Kyle Lowry. On Wednesday in Charlotte he dove back into the pool after the MRI came back negative and dropped off a mean triple double.

He finished the night with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists on 9-of-10 shooting from the field. That’s NUTS!!! He’s always dropping off a solid double-double but ole boy was making up for lost time by bringing the repellent to the Hornets.

After the game he had this to say, “I don’t like sitting out. I woke up today and I felt good. I did my shooting time and I was like, ‘I can play.’ I would have felt worse if I didn’t play.”

He was actually listed as questionable for Wednesday night’s game. I guess he answered everyday’s question didn’t he?

Doug McDermott came off of the bench and led all scores with 28 points. Malcolm Brogdon came through with 25 as Justin Holiday dropped off a mean 19.

Indiana shared the basketball like bad Christmas gifts at a company holiday party. They finished the night with 34 assists!!! With ball movement like that it’s hard to walk out of the joint without a win. They also shot 51 percent from the field as team.

Charlotte didn’t have a chance in this one. The Pacers have now won 3 of 4 and the Hornets are losers of 6 of 7.

Boyz broke it down in their Ice Cube voice, “Today is “going” to be a good day” once they went on a 16-0 run in the opening quarter to explode to a 36-19. They turned on the burners of confidence and never looked back.

The Hornets had six players finish in double figures including Terry Rozier’s 20 points but it wasn’t enough to beat a confident Pacers squad.

These guys lace them up again on Friday night in Charlotte.
