LSU’s Joe Burrow wins the 85th Heisman in a landslide and rightfully so! “Largest Victory EVER”

NEW YORK — After the LSU Tigers went to Austin in Week 2 and put 45 points on the Texas Longhorns I knew that they wouldn’t be “nothing to play with.” Not that Texas was so hard to beat but to go to Austin and put up those types of numbers that early in the season was impressive and at the quarterback position. LSU finally had a quarterback that could stretch the field.

As good as they are every year, their Achilles has been their quarterback position. After that game I said, these cats will be unstoppable and they’ve got Bama’s cheat code this year. I had no idea that Joe Burrow would completely destroy everything in his path and walk away with the 85th edition of Heisman Trophy too.

Well playas…on Saturday night he walked out of the joint with it with the largest margin of victory ever in Heisman voting. Ole boy was 1,846 points ahead of Oklahoma’s Jalen Hurts who finished second. That’s NUTS!!! Ohio State’s Justin Fields and Chase Young fell in line at third and fourth place. Burrow also received a record 90.7% of all the first-place votes available and was named on 95.5% of ballots which was yet another record.

He’s only the second player in LSU history to win the Heisman. Running back Billy Cannon won it in way back in 1959. So size him up for a 30-foot statue outside of Death Valley. I’m just sayin’!

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! He should have gotten 100 percent of the votes in every single region in the country. He played better than every player on the ballot week in and week out. He was flawless from start to finish and deserved to win it hands down just like he did.

He finished with 48 touchdowns passes and 4,715 yards all while leading the Tigers to the SEC title and the No.1 final regular season ranking all while being undefeated. There were no hiccups along the way and he was dominant every week.

Not only did he win the Heisman but he picked up every other major award this week. He won the the Maxwell Award (best overall), Davey O’Brien Award (best quarterback) and Walter Camp Player of the Year Award. Oh and by the way he was named the Associated Press player of the year. So if he hadn’t won the Heisman it would have been a riot up in that piece.

The only thing left for him to win now is the College Football Playoff National Championship. No.1 LSU meets Jalen Hurts and the No.4 Oklahoma Sooners in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on December 28 at 4pm for the semi-final. No.2 Ohio State plays defending national champion No.3 Clemson in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl that same day at 8 p.m in the other semi-final. The winners advance to the Sugar Bowl on January 13.

Don’t expect anything less from Burrow when he and his homies show up in Atlanta in two weeks. Stop me when I start lyin’!
