LeBron is HOT about the NBA forcing an All-Star Game on them! Says, “It’s Slap In The Face”

The NBA and the NBA Players Association has agreed to hold an All-Star Game in Atlanta in March and LeBron James is not happy about it. Initially the league told boyz that there wouldn’t be an All-Star Game this year which was supposed to be played in Indianapolis. However, with the pandemic raging across the country and the world the decision was made to step away.

However, like everyone else, the NBA wants that bread at all costs. So they’ve decided to show up in a city that’s literally wide open to bring the entire league into for an unnecessary risk and the most high profile player in the league isn’t feeling it.

LeBron was asked his opinion after the Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets 114-93 and he didn’t hold back.

“Short offseason for myself and my teammates, 71 days. And then coming into this season, we were told that we were not having an All-Star Game, so we’d have a nice little break,” said James. “Five days [in March] from the fifth through the 10th, an opportunity for me to kind of recalibrate for the second half of the season. My teammates as well. Some of the guys in the league.

He went on to say, “And then they throw an All-Star Game on us like this and just breaks that all the way up. So, um, pretty much kind of a slap in the face. “We’re also still dealing with a pandemic. We’re still dealing with everything that’s been going on, and we’re going to bring the whole league into one city that’s open? Obviously, the pandemic has absolutely nothing to do with it at this point when it comes to that weekend.

He finishes with, “Obviously, you guys can see that I’m not very happy about it.”

I agree 100 percent with him. Having an All-Star Game increases the risk of foolishness that WILL go on that will increase the risk of exposure to COVID-19.

Now you’ve got to worry about players hanging out and fans coming to town from all over the country to hang out with them. All of the bars and clubs have been open down there even on a normal weekend. Now you’re bringing the NBA All-Star Game to town? It’s going to be NUTS in the “A.” There’s no way to control the amount of foolishness that WILL go on in Atlanta that weekend. It’s just not a good idea at this point.

Atlanta is one of my favorite places in the world but having an All-Star Game there during a pandemic doesn’t make a lot of sense. Stop me when I start lyin’!
