Antetokounmpo drops a triple double in three quarters as Bucks blast Pacers

MILWAUKEE — The Indiana Pacers pulled up in Milwaukee on Wednesday night on the back end of a back-to-back after rolling over Memphis on Tuesday night. Well…they were about to face the back-to-back reigning MVP in his house and he wasn’t fooling around.

Giannis Antetokounmpo came to work with his lunch pail, shovel and hard hat as he and his Bucks beat the brakes, doors, transmission and back seats off of the Pacers 130-110. The score was not indicative of the beat down they put on Indiana. They were up by 40 and one point in the fourth quarter and Antetokounmpo had already taken his shoes off.

Giannis finished with a triple double and he only played three quarters. He dropped off 21 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists and shut it down. He was 7 of 8 from the floor and 7 of 8 from the foul line. He didn’t even attempt a three pointer and didn’t need to. Giannis had plenty of fire power rolling with him to do enough damage to the Pacers without resorting to pulling threes.

Seven Bucks finished with double figured including Antetokounmpo.

Indiana struggled to keep up simply because the Bucks were just in a zone that they couldn’t match. Domantas Sabonis finished with his customary double-double with 33 points and 12 rebounds. Justin Holiday came through with 15 points and 8 rebounds while Doug McDermott came off of the bench with 13. Malcolm Brogdon dropped off 12 as Aaron Holiday finished with 11.

Playing the back end of a back-to-back is already tough but it’s even worse when you’ve got to travel over to the reigning MVP’s house that’s still got something to prove.

Up next the Pacer host the Zion Williamson on Friday.
