CLEVELAND, OH.– After gettin’ the breaks beatin’ off of them in Game 1 the Cavs pulled up in the old school Deuce and a Quarter with the rag top. LeBron was holdin’ the wheel rockin’ a wide brim gangsta just to let you boyz know. There was no question who would control the pace of the ball game as they beat the Pacers 100-97.

The Cavs jumped out of the whip and climbed all over the Pacers in the first quarter jumpin’ out to a 33-18 lead by the end of the period. LeBron scored the Cavs first 16 points and literally outscored the Pacers 20-13 at one point finishin’ with 46 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists.

At the break ole boy had 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The only problem was that he was darn near playin’ by himself. Kevin Love, who apparently dislocated his thumb in the second half, finished with 15 points and  Korver dropped off 12. The rest of those duns may as well had bought a ticket. No one else scored in double figures.

Pacers outscored Cleveland 28-25 in the second quarter to go to the break down only 12 points 58-46.

By the 3:32 mark of the third quarter the Indiana was shootin’ 89 percent from the field verses the Cavs shootin’ 39 precent to outscore the Cavs 21-16 to close the gap to 7 points only down 74-67 at the end of the period. That’s NUTS!!!! Nate McMillan and Co. weren’t comin’ out of their sneakers and jewelry that easily playboy.

Where I’m from they tell a boy to “Boot Up!” It was a straight up battle in the fourth quarter like Big Momma was watchin’ from the porch with the Pacers outscorin’ the Cavs for the third consecutive quarter only to fall short in the end. Victor Oladipo misses two wide open threes in the final seconds as the homie from Indiana head back to the crib all knotted up 1-1 to prepare for Game 3 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Friday night.

Oladipo led the Pacers with 22 points as Myles Turner dropped off 18. Darren Collison represented with 16 as Lance “The Don Dada” came out of the bushes with 10. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Deuce and a Quarter: noun – Buick Electra 225

2) Rag Top: noun – cloth top on cars popular in the 1970’s and ’80’s

3) Wide Brim Gangsta: noun – Bailey’s Fedora hat. Only the real playas wear them. (Picture the hats that Run DMC used to wear)

4) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

5) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”

  1. Jay. All I can say is I love the energy that you bring in your writing. The “Battle Royale” is tonight.

I want this to be a good game… Instead of the Pacers being up 25 or vice versa and a let down comeback game. I see Pacers 1-5 point win.
