Lamelo Ball joins the Australian NBL: Makes sense but he’s not telling the whole truth! “C’mon Bruh!”

On Monday LaMelo Ball, the younger brother of Lonzo and son of Lavar announced on ESPN’s The Jump that he would be playing for the Illawarra Hawks of the Australian National Basketball League next season instead of going to college.

Ole boy says that it made more sense for him to go that route than to go to college for a year. Well…here’s what he had to say, “My agents did a ton of research on the options I had to play this coming season, and Australia really made sense for me. They have a really strong league, with excellent coaches and great players, including former and future NBA players, and great strength and conditioning programs. My goal is to be the top pick in next year’s draft, and I feel they can help me reach that goal. Also, the timing of the season works well with the timing of next year’s draft.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! If a kid knows that he’ll be a “One and Done” it makes sense to go play overseas and get paid for six months than to play on campus. If he goes to college only the university and the networks are going to get paid. So yes, it makes sense.

However, LaMelo and Co. need to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. He’s not eligible to play in the NCAA because he’s already played professionally in Lithuania in 2018. So therefore, he’s ineligible to play college ball. He’s got no other choice but to play professionally somewhere.

It’s cool but just tell the truth bruh. Stop me when I start lyin’!
