KD and Kyrie came to work and as the Lakers coasted on ring night! “Completely Understandable”

I would be lyin’ if I said that it’s been a long time since we’ve seen some NBA and that we all were dying of thirst to see it. The Finals just ended on October 11 with the Lakers taking home the ship. However, we all were very thirsty to see the Brooklyn Nets with Kyrie and KD jumpin’ out of the whip.

Bruh…they pulled up on the hapless Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night and beat the brakes, doors, transmission and back seats off of them. I feel sorry for ole Steph Curry having to drive the car right now without Klay Thompson and Draymond because everybody is getting in line again to do damage to them.

First up was KD after not playing for 18 months and he looked fantastic. Ole boy finished with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in only 25 minutes in a 125-99 blowout of the Warriors. He jumped out of the birthday cake butt naked foamin’ at the mouth and put up 10 points in the first quarter. His game is back on point and he’s as smooth as silk like he never had the Achilles tear. That’s scary.

Kyrie led the Nets with 26 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in only 25 minutes too. They had the Nets cookin’ without Big Momma’s grease in the can on the stove. Yessir, it should be fun to watch this year with them, the Bucks, Heat and Toronto in the East.

It was ring night for the Lakers and boy was the ice flowin’! They were presented with their championship rings before the game as the Clippers had to stand out there and watch. That was the highlight of the night for the Purple and Gold though.

The Clip Joint jumped out of the ride and went to work on the Lakers just like they did last year on opening night. They were up by at least 20 points for most of the game until the Lakers made it competitive down the stretch as they closed to gap to a final score of 116-109 Clippers.

On some real talk, who’s trippin’ in Laker land this morning? They just finished playing for all of the marbles in October and picked up some serious ice before the game. Do you really think the Lakers were dialed in ready to play day one. Just like last year’s matchup, the Clippers had everything to prove while the Lakers understand that they’ve got all season to get ready for the playoffs.

Paul George came to work with his pants pulled up to his nipples trying to prove to the world that he was worth the 4-year extension he just got worth $190 million. Ole boy finished with 33 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 36 minutes of work. Kawhi dropped off 26 points as the Lakers cruised with nothing to prove. After all, it’s Game 1 of a 72 game season on the night they had no motivation to break a sweat. I totally get it.

LeBron finished with 22 points in 28 minutes and AD dropped off 18 points in 31 minutes. The new addition of Dennis Schroder at the point guard position gave them 14 points. Montrezl Harrell came off the bench with 17 points and Kyle Kuzma added 15.

The additions of Schroder and Harrell allows the Lakers to get younger with more energy. They could be scary by mid-season. Yep, it’s going to be a great season to watch if boyz follow the rules and stay safe until we can get out of this pandemic situation. Keep in mind this regular season isn’t in a bubble. Stop me when I start lyin’!
