MILWAUKEE — Going into Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals the narrative was that neither team could win on the other team’s floor. Well playas…that changed on Thursday night as Kawhi Leonard proved once again that he was Kawhi Leonard. Ole boy put the Raptors on his back AGAIN as he put up 35 points, hitting the 30-point mark for the fourth time this series in a 105-99 victory. He dropped off a career-high 9 assists and ripped 7 rebounds out of the air.

Now they head back to the crib with a 3-2 lead where they are very dangerous at home. In the blink of an eye Milwaukee blew their home court advantage after finishing the regular season with the best record in the NBA. Now they’ve got to fight like dogs just to survive this series.

Everybody and their baby’ momma were screaming that KD followed by Giannis Antetokounmpo were the best players in the league this year like LeBron and Kawhi had literally retired. LeBron missed 18 games and was never the same after the groin injury but he still averaged darn near 28 points, 8 assists and 8 rebounds. Kawhi was well…Kawhi averaging darn near 27 points per game and grabbing 7 rebounds per game but most importantly he was a quiet leader. He did crazy work on a new team without drawing much attention to himself and now they’re one win away from going to the NBA Finals.

I guess we’re going to have to deal with Drake in the Finals for at least a half of a game. He’s going to talk $100 worth of noise when the series shifts back to Toronto. By then they’ll be down 0-2 and by the time Steph and Klay finish launching three’s in the first half he’ll be in the ride on his way home. Can’t wait to see it. Stop me when I start lyin’!
