ATLANTA — Everybody and their baby’s momma and Uncle LeRoy doubted the New England Patriots this season. Tom Brady’s too old and he and Belichick have run their course etc. Well playas…all they did was go out and win another Super Bowl to make it six NFL Championships. They walked out of the Mercedes Benz Stadium with a 13-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams. It was the lowest scoring Super Bowl ever.
The Tom Brady haters are sick to their stomachs right now because ole boy is sitting on the mountain top once again. Bruh…the Patriots have gone to 9 Super Bowls in 18 years winning 6 of them. That’s NUTS!!!
Julian Edelman went to work on these boyz with 10 catches for 141 yards. There was literally no answer for him. Brady targeted him 12 times and he finished with 10 catches bruh!! Say it with me, that’s NUTS!!!! He obviously was named the Super Bowl MVP.
The Patriots got out of the ride and was literally man-handling the Rams by running it down the Rams throats with four consecutive running plays. On Tom Brady’s first pass attempt he threw a pick intended for Chris Hogan, it was tipped and Corey Littleton came up with the interception. That was the first time in Brady’s post-season career that he’d thrown and interception on his first attempt.
Jared Goff and Co. was so nervous that they went a quick three and out and punted it right back to Brady and Co.
Brady was reckless with the football on the next possession on a second and 9 screen pass that was almost picked off on the Patriots own 9 yard line. The Rams defense was swarming and boyz were laying the wood at that point.
Did it make a difference? Nope! Brady settled down and went right down the field. However, on a 4th and 5 from the Rams’ 28 yard line Stephen Gotkowski missed a 46 yard field goal with 5:35 left to play in the first quarter. The Patriots have never had a first quarter touchdown in the previous eight Super Bowls with Brady and Belichick at the helm.
With 1:14 left in the first quarter Brady was finally sacked for the first time in the post-season. Aaron Donald and Co. was getting to Brady hurrying him and causing him problems initially.
It wasn’t until there was 7:36 left in the game before anyone even got into the red zone. That’s when Brady hit Gronkowski for 29 yards to get the Patriots to the 2 yard line. On the very next play Sony Michel punched it in to put the Patriots up 10-3.
The Rams finally started to look like they’d found their way as they began to move the ball down field. They were marching like soldiers and on a 1st and 10 Goff throws the pick to Gilmore at the New England 4 yard line with 4:17 left.
Sony Michel pops one for 26 yards and then Rex Burkhead goes for another 26 yards to essentially end the game with 2:30 left.
With 1:47 left Patriots face a 4th and inches so they let the clock burn down to 1:16. They use a timeout before kicking a Stephen Gostkowski 42 yard field goal to go up 13-3.
Rams Zuerlein attempt a 48 yard field goal with 8 second left and completely wets the bed not getting anywhere near hitting it. The New England Patriots win their sixth Super Bowl in 18 years. That’s NUTS!!!! Let the sting begin and stop me when I start lyin’!
