BLOOMINGTON, IN. — When the Hoosiers made the schedule a few years ago 9/15/18 jumped off of the page as a “W.” Ball State would be the sacrificial lamb better known as the cup cake on the schedule that would be paid big money to show up and get blasted. Heck, even as of this past June it was still screamin’ “W!” Then last week it morphed into something that the Hoosiers wasn’t expecting to see. A real game on the schedule that could actually turn into an serious “L” if they aren’t careful.
The Ball State Cardinals put everybody and their baby’s momma on the remainder of their schedule on notice. They ran up to the most historic football stadium in the country, college or pro, and pushed the silverware off of the table in front of Touchdown Jesus himself. They went toe to toe with the Notre Dame Fightin’ Irish losing a great ball game 24-16.
Now they’ve got their eyes set on going down to Bloomington on Saturday and doin’ work!!! They’ve got, like my old Pop Warner coaches used to say, their dandruff up now!!! They’ve got all of the confidence in the world they can show up in Memorial Stadium on Saturday and not only push the silverware off of the table but they can be bold enough to rearrange the furniture and flirt with a boy’z girlfriend too. Why not? They’ve won 3 out of 4 against the Hoosiers. So it just got real!!!
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! If they played Notre Dame to within 8 points in front of Touchdown Jesus and the Leprechaun while listenin’ to “Wake Up the Echos” surely they believe they can beat the Indiana Hoosiers in Bloomington. Now will it happen? That all depends upon what IU believes.
Will they have the same confidence that Ball State has gettin’ off of the bus with or will they take these boyz for granted? The Cardinals played out of their minds last week in South Bend and believe me playboy, they’ll show up in Bloomington on Saturday with more swag than Frank Lucas sitting ring side in a Chinchilla coat!!
