It’s a shame that people are politicizin’ Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson and his Uber Driver’s death! “Drunk Drivin’ is Drunk Drivin’!”

More than a week ago on February 4 Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson and his Uber Driver, Jeffery Monroe, were killed by a drunk driver. As sad as the case was people are now tryin’ to politicize their deaths because the person responsible for hittin’ them and then tryin’ to leave the scene of the crash was a Guatemalan man livin’ illegally in the U.S.

Donald Trump tweeted out a fake condolence only to try to make the point that the man that hit them was illegally here, which I thought was foul. Either you’re goin’ to be genuine in the condolence or not because the two gentlemen that were killed was somebody’s family and they loved them dearly.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever  comes 1st! It would be different if they were the only two people killed by a drunk driver in America and it was the result of someone sneakin’ into the country. However, that simply isn’t the case. Every day, 28 people in the United States die in car accidents that involve a drunk driver. That means that someone dies in the this country every 51 minutes as a result of this type of foolishness.

Not all of those deaths are caused by someone that is livin’ illegally in America. So to try to politicize Jackson and Monroe’s death is wrong. Do we need to get a handle on border patrol and makin’ sure folks are doin’ the proper things to become U.S. citizens? Sure we do.

However, more importantly, we need to stop people from drinkin’ and drivin’ that ARE U.S. citizens. Don’t make it sound like only the illegal aliens are drunks and it’s their fault we’ve got a problem with drunk drivers.

Accordin’ to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, drunk drivers cost the United State $132 billion per year. Each day people drive drunk more than 300,000 times but only 2,800 are arrested. In 2013, 9.9 million people (3.8% of the population) reported drivin’ under the influence of illicit drugs. This was highest among 18-25 year olds, where 10.6% reported drivin’ under the influence of illicit drugs.

Those are the facts bruh accordin’ to the experts! Go to their website for more information if you think that I’m lyin’ to you. It doesn’t say that all of those drunk drivers were livin’ in this country illegally. Sounds like the problem is people drinkin’ and drivin’ more than it is people sneakin’ into the U.S.

It’s the same foolishness when folks try to paint the picture of terrorism in America as only those people comin’ into the country. Accordin’ to the Southern Poverty Law Center there are more than 917 active hate groups in the United States. There has been a spike in the formation of these groups driven in part by anger of Latino immigration and the demographic projections that whites will no longer hold the majority status in this country by around 2040. The rise further accelerated in 2009, the year Obama took office. I didn’t make this up these are the facts accordin’ to the experts that have done the research.

So again, my point here is for folks to stop tryin’ to make it everybody else’s fault and deal with the reality of the problem. We’ve got people right here in America, born and raised, that don’t know how to act. Are there people comin’ into the country that don’t know how to act too? Most certainly. But please don’t politicize these two men’s deaths because a drunk driver is a drunk driver. Therefore, the problem is in this particular case is drinkin’ and drivin’! Period!!! Stop me when I start lyin’!
