It doesn’t get any better than Delbert Mimms III and Romeir Elliott on the same field! “Totin’ the Rock”

Ben Davis' Delbert Mimms III and Warren Central's Romeir Elliott will bless us on Friday night on the same field! Two great running backs!!! Photos: TheJayGravesReport

INDIANAPOLIS, IN. — Two of the most storied high school football programs in the state of Indiana bump heads on the FAR EAST SIDE on Friday night!! No.11 Ben Davis travels to No.1 Warren Central and all of the fireworks that come with it!! I wrote a crazy Hot Joint earlier this week entitled “West Side vs. East Side” talkin’ about the hype of the game just to get you cats ready for this great matchup.

However, I need to slow down and talk about the running backs that will be on display in this contest. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen two boyz gettin’ it in with the skillz of Ben Davis’ Delbert Mimms III (Vanderbilt commit) and Warren Central’s Romeir Elliott (Southern Illinois commit). On TheJayGravesReport they’re known as “D. Rock” and “Secretariat From THE FAR EAST SIDE!”

Yeah, we saw Avon’s Sampson James (Ohio State commit) and D. Rock go at it in Week 1 but they were just gettin’ out of the gate and they both looked great. However, it’s Week 5 and boyz are purrin’ like kittens right now. So therefore, these running backs have gotten into a groove so anything may happen.

D. Rock has been leadin’ the Giants like Maximus the Gladiator puttin’ up 448 yards and 10 TD’s through Week 4. He’s not just totin’ the rock but he’s draggin’ boyz up and down the field with his power and strength. When Ben Davis gets into the Red Zone you can expect to see him in the Wild Cat as well. He’s not only powerful but he’s just as fast in the open field. The Vanderbilt commit is not playin’ with these boyz out here. I’m fired up to see how he matches up against the Warren Central defense which has been ballin’ out of control this season. Somethings gotta give right?

Then on the other sideline we’ve got Secretariat From THE FAR EAST SIDE!!! Ole boy is 5’7″ 189 lbs but he plays like he’s 6’2″ 215 lbs. That’s no hype or joke bruh. Romeir Elliott is the real deal. He’s already put up an amazin’ 815 yards and popped off 11 touchdowns in four games!!! That’s NUTS!!!

The dun is so elusive it’s ridiculous! He’s got great vision in the whole and can change directions at the drop of a dime. Talk about bein’ able to go the distance on a boy? Give him an inch and he’s gone. Just ask Lawrence Central about him? He hit them for 344 yards and 6 touchdowns a week ago and he’s still runnin’!!!

Oh yeah, this is goin’ to great to see both of these Young Thunder Cats on the same field on Friday night. I hate that I’ve got to cover it. I would love to just be a fan, sit in the stands and admire all of the talent while eatin’ a hot dog and popcorn because it’s goin’ to be just that good! Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

 1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”

The caption under the photo isn’t real but its real talk!
